چکیده

Okra is an important species of vegetable grown in Turkey and around the world. Root-knot nematodes cause serious yield losses vegetables. Twenty-six cultivars okra were obtained from Aegean Agricultural Research Institute 2002. Resistance this to nematode was determined changes induced with infestation on plant morphology macro- micronutrients leaves measured. The experiments conducted completely randomized design four replicates climate-controlled glasshouse at Alata Horticultural 2019. tested against Meloidogyne incognita (Kofoid & White, 1919) (Nematoda: Meloidogynidae) 25 ± 2ºC. Sixty days after inoculation, root gall indexes varied average 4.56. Compared uninoculated controls, inoculated reduced height by 46.0%, stem thickness 9.06%, lengths 39.7%, leaf widths 15.1%, 20.5% increase weight 14.5%. Leaf determined. control, inoculation N, P, K Mg concentrations 2.31, 5.85, 5.24 10.3%, respectively, increased Ca, Fe, Zn, Mn Cu 7.91, 17.0, 13.4, 118 15.6%, respectively.

On the species status of the root-knot nematode Meloidogyne ulmi Palmisano & Ambrogioni, 2000 (Nematoda, Meloidogynidae)

The root-knot nematode Meloidogyne ulmi is synonymised with Meloidogyne mali based on morphological and morphometric similarities, common hosts, as well as biochemical similarities at both protein and DNA levels. M. mali was first described in Japan on Malus prunifolia Borkh.; and M. ulmi in Italy on Ulmus chenmoui W.C. Cheng. Morphological and morphometric studies of their holo- and paratypes ...

Meloidogyne incognita wartellei n. subsp. (Meloidogynidae), a Root-knot Nematode on Resistant Soybeans in Louisiana.

Meloidogyne incognita wartellei n. subsp, is described and illustrated from roots of soybean (Glycine max L.) near Washington, Louisiana. It is rather limited in distribution in that state, being known at five locations comprising about 60,000 acres. It not only attacks commonly susceptihle soybeans but is a destructive pest on other commercial soybean varieties that are resistant to other form...

Screening and identification of cucumber germplasm and rootstock resistance against the root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita).

Root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp) are destructive agricultural pests that reduce the productivity of cultivated vegetables worldwide, especially when vegetables are cropped continuously in greenhouses. Cucumbers (Cucumis sativus L.), in particular, suffer extensive damage due to root-knot nematodes, and only a few wild species are known to be resistant. Grafting of cultivated plants to root...

Meloidogyne aberrans sp. nov. (Nematoda: Meloidogynidae), a new root-knot nematode parasitizing kiwifruit in China

High infection rates of roots of wild kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis Planch) and soil infestation by a root-knot nematode were found in Anshun, GuiZhou Province, China. Morphology, esterase phenotype and molecular analyses confirmed that this nematode was different from previously described root-knot nematodes. In this report, the species is described, illustrated and named Meloidogyne aberrans...
